1980 FLT Tour Glide

This was my first road worthy motorcycle, which I bought in the spring of 1994. I had a 1977 Honda Gold Wing that I had put back together from a box of parts but I never got it licensed for the road. I always wanted a Harley, so I sold the Wing and bought the FLT. I was warned about buying an AMF Harley, but it was in my price range and I thought that after 20K miles any bugs would be worked out by then. WRONG!!!!! I had to replace the rear cylinder head because a valve guide broke, replaced the 5th gear sprocket because it cracked, and had fits with the exhaust bolts until I found out that it was a common problem with shovelheads. After all these problems, I still miss this bike. I have to be a masochist.
