I traded the FLT for this bike, a 1996 Triumph Thunderbird. I got it at Saginaw Valley Motorworks in Bay City, Michigan. Since they were also a Harley dealer, I was in there quite a bit and saw the T-Bird sitting there. I always liked the old Triumph Bonnevilles and the T-Bird styling kind of echoed that of the old Triumphs. I bought the bike April 1, 1997. I loved this bike. It had all the performance I needed, looked great, and did not give me any problems. Unfortunately, on the night of September 6, 1997 I was involved in an accident with a drunk driver and the bike was totaled. I was lucky. I got banged up pretty bad but I survived.
This is the only picture I have of the Thunderbird in one piece. My brother took the photo about 5 hours before I was in the accident.
